FED: Monarchists oppose new form of referendum question
A leading monarchist says any revised republic referendum question should spell out the
procedure for sacking a president.
The national convener of Australians for a Constitutional Monarchy, DAVID FLINT, has
written to a parliamentary committee to object to the new question it's recommending be posed
at the referendum.
Any revised question should also explain how a president could be sacked by the prime
minister -- without notice or reason.
Professor FLINT says it would be easier for the prime minister to sack the president than
his cook.
